In Walk-Off, Vernon College Chaparrals Varsity Loses To Redlands Community College

It came down to the last play, but Vernon College Chaparrals Varsity was on the wrong end of a 6-5 defeat to Redlands Community College on Friday. The game was tied at five with Redlands Community College batting in the bottom of the ninth when #30 drew a walk, scoring one run.

Vernon College Chaparrals Varsity got things started in the second inning.  Justin Santossingled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Redlands Community College scored three runs in the eighth inning.  #30 and #33 powered the big inning with RBIs.

#32 toed the rubber for Redlands Community College. He went four innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out one.

Justin Karbowaski started the game for Vernon College Chaparrals Varsity. He went seven and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking zero. Joismer Gonzalez threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Santos went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Vernon College Chaparrals Varsity in hits.

Redlands Community College saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. #10 and #33 all managed multiple hits for Redlands Community College.
