GM1: North Central Texas College Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Vernon College Chaps Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-0 loss to North Central Texas College on Saturday. North Central Texas College scored on a double by #20, an error, a single by #42, and a single by #27 in the first inning.

The Vernon College Chaps Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of North Central Texas College, giving up eight runs.

North Central Texas College got things moving in the first inning.  #20 doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

A double by Zak Betancourt in the first inning was a positive for Vernon College Chaps Varsity.

#24 led things off on the mound for North Central Texas College. The fireballer allowed five hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out five.

Colten Panaranto was on the pitcher's mound for Vernon College Chaps Varsity. The pitcher surrendered eight runs on 11 hits over six innings, striking out four and walking one.

GM2: Vernon College Chaps Varsity Clinches Lead In Ninth Inning To Defeat North Central Texas College

Vernon College Chaps Varsity nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over North Central Texas College on Saturday.  Vernon College Chaps Varsity was down 4-3 in the top of the ninth inning when Luke Piper homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

North Central Texas College opened up scoring in the first inning.  #20 doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity tallied three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Marco Barrera and Reece Burke.

Sutten Tidwell was on the hill for Vernon College Chaps Varsity. The southpaw allowed five hits and four runs over four innings, striking out two.

#21 started the game for North Central Texas College. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out eight.  #31 and #10 entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and one inning respectively.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity smacked one home run on the day. Piper went yard in the ninth inning.

Barrera led Vernon College Chaps Varsity with three hits in four at bats.

#8 went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead North Central Texas College in hits.
