GM1: Vernon College Chaps Varsity Takes The Win Over Cisco College

Vernon College Chaps Varsity scores more runs than Cisco College, takes victory on Wednesday to the tune of 6-1

Vernon College Chaps Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Noah Andersonsingled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity tallied three runs in the fourth inning.  Vernon College Chaps Varsity's offense in the inning came from singles by Logan Williams and Jadon Fratus and by Reece Burke.

Clark Candiotti toed the rubber for Vernon College Chaps Varsity. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out five.

#31 was on the hill for Cisco College. The bulldog surrendered six runs on six hits over four innings, striking out two.  #15 threw three innings out of the bullpen.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity totaled ten hits.  Anderson, Williams, and Luke Piper each had multiple hits for Vernon College Chaps Varsity.  Piper, Williams, and Anderson each managed two hits to lead Vernon College Chaps Varsity.

Cisco College didn't commit a single error in the field. #4 had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

 

GM2: Early Lead For Cisco College Seals Fate For Vernon College Chaps Varsity

Vernon College Chaps Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-1 loss to Cisco College on Wednesday. Cisco College scored on a double by #14 in the first inning, a single by #13 in the first inning, a fielder's choice by #6 in the first inning, and a single by #14 in the second inning.

The Vernon College Chaps Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Cisco College, giving up ten runs.

Cisco College got things moving in the first inning, when #14 doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

#33 was on the pitcher's mound for Cisco College. The hurler surrendered one run on four hits over six innings, striking out 13 and walking one.

Justin Karbowski led things off on the pitcher's mound for Vernon College Chaps Varsity. The righthander went two innings, allowing five runs on five hits and walking zero.  Ryan GalvanWill HahnfeldFoster Kreuzer, and Joismer Gonzalez each entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings, one inning, one inning, and one-third of an inning respectively.

Zak Betancourt, Jhonmy MartinezNoah Anderson, and Marco Barrera each collected one hit to lead Vernon College Chaps Varsity.

Cisco College totaled nine hits in the game.  #9 and #14 each had multiple hits for Cisco College.
