GM1: Late Score Costs Vernon College Chaps Varsity Against Cisco College

Vernon College Chaps Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Cisco College pulled away late in a 6-4 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Cisco College batting in the top of the twelfth when #6 hit a solo homer.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Jhonmy Martinez doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.

Cisco College scored three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Cisco College was led by #9, #13, and #11, all driving in runs in the inning.

#12 led things off on the hill for Cisco College. The fireballer lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out six.

Sutten Tidwell started the game for Vernon College Chaps Varsity. The southpaw went five and a third innings, allowing four runs on four hits, striking out nine and walking zero.  Will Hahnfeld and Maverick Folmar entered the game from the bullpen, throwing five innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity tallied nine hits on the day.  Noah Anderson and Luke Pipereach racked up multiple hits for Vernon College Chaps Varsity.  Piper and Anderson each collected two hits to lead Vernon College Chaps Varsity.

Cisco College had ten hits in the game.  #26, #6, and #13 all collected multiple hits for Cisco College.  #26 led Cisco College with three hits in five at bats.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Rece Parker singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Reece Burke singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and Brendon Concannon's sac fly scored one run for Vernon College Chaps Varsity.

Colten Panaranto led things off on the hill for Vernon College Chaps Varsity. The pitcher surrendered two runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out nine.

#22 was on the pitcher's mound for Cisco College. The hurler went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out three and walking one.  #28 and #4 entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity had nine hits in the game.  Noah Anderson and Jhonmy Martinez all managed multiple hits for Vernon College Chaps Varsity.  Martinez and Andersoneach collected two hits to lead Vernon College Chaps Varsity.

Cisco College totaled five hits.  #6 and #13 each managed multiple hits for Cisco College.
