VERNON, TX. - The Vernon College rodeo team hit the road again this past week. The event in Snyder, TX. kicked off on Thursday and ran until saturday evening. 3 athletes placed well in their respective events.

Will Barrows finished 1st in long with 89 points and 3^rd in average in bull riding to represent the men's side. This finish helped him get his self back in the hunt to qualify for the college national finals.

Caroline Blackard split 5^th and 6^th with 2.7 in the breakaway in long round. She then placed 2^nd in short and in average. 

Shaya Biever, the Alberta, CAN native, split 7^th-11^th with 2.8 in breakaway in long and 3^rd in short and in average.

The Chaps will be back in action this week starting Thursday at the Tarleton State Univ. rodeo in Stephenville, TX.
