We had a lot of great things happen at Odessa Rodeo! There were a few just short of making the short round with room to improve still. The women's team ended up splitting 3^rd and 4^th with Cooper Norris being the leading points earner! In the breakaway Cooper split 4^th through 6^th in the long round, split 2^nd and 3^rd in the short round and ended up second in the average for a total of 115 points. This should move her up to roughly 4^th in the region. They take the top 3 in each event to the college finals! Hattie Haynes won second in the long round of goat tying with a smoking run of 7.0 second run. She lost her stirrup getting off in the short rnd and fell falling short of placing in the average. She ended up with 50 points. Everyone's hard work has been bringing several close to winning. I look forward to seeing who all ends up in the top in the weeks to come!
