After sweeping #15 MCC at home the Chaps are on the move in the National Rankings for the 2nd week in a row. They look to continue their climb this week when they travel to Weatherford this Thursday and Temple this Saturday.

Vernon Softball announced its addition to the 2020 signing class this week, Laynie Brown, all from Windthorst Highschool here in Texas, signed her Letter of Intent to join the program.

Laynie Bastow threw a gem on Wednesday for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Northwest Technical Institute by a score of 15-0 in G1.While Jordan Garvin had a carer high 7k's in her shutout in G2.
Both teams were strong on the rubber on Saturday, but Butler Community College Grizzlies Varsity was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity on Saturday. Jade Guzman started the game for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity and recorded 15 outs.
Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity snagged a late lead and defeated Cowley Tigers 8-1 on Friday in game 1. Game two they beat Cowley Tigers 6-2 to complete the sweep.
