Game 1: Laynie Of Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Shuts Out Frank Phillips College

Laynie Bastow had all the right stuff on Saturday for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Frank Phillips College by a score of 21-0

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity got on the board in the first inning.  Kyla Snow doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tallied eight runs in the third inning.  Pal Egan, Jaleigh DurstPeyton Picou, and Trinity Castillo each had RBIs in the big inning.

One bright spot for Frank Phillips College was a double by Weaver in the first inning.

Bastow earned the victory in the pitcher's circle for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She lasted five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out eight and walking one.

Garcia took the loss for Frank Phillips College. She lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out one.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity smacked four home runs on the day. Castillo had a homer in the third inning. Durst went yard in the second inning. Egan put one out in the third inning. Chloe Bryant had a dinger in the fourth inning.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity collected 22 hits on the day.  Snow, Adrianna Cooney, Durst, Picou, Alexis Hoang, and Egan all managed multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Snow led Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity with three hits in three at bats.  Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Mikayla Stark had the most chances in the field with five.

Deleon went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Frank Phillips College in hits.


Game 2: Courtney Vidrine Drives In Four As Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Defeats Frank Phillips College

Courtney Vidrine would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Saturday, driving in four on three hits to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity past Frank Phillips College 15-2 on Saturday.  Vidrine drove in runs on a double in the first, a single in the second, and a single in the third.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity got things started in the first inning when Vidrine doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity put up six runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity was led by Destinee Urea, Vidrine, Alexis HoangJaleigh Durst, and Peyton Picou, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Jordan Garvin was the winning pitcher for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She lasted four innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out two.  Kaila Eastburnthrew one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Belhaloumi took the loss for Frank Phillips College. She allowed one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking one.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity scattered 15 hits in the game.  Callie Yellin, Vidrine, Durst, Hoang, Urea, and Joeli Grant all managed multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Vidrine and Yellin all had three hits to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Yellin led Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.

Weaver went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Frank Phillips College in hits.
