Game 1: Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Cowley Tigers

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity snagged a late lead and defeated Cowley Tigers 8-1 on Friday. The game was tied at one with Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Kyla Snow singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tied things up at one.  Peyton Picou drove in one when she singled.

Jade Guzman earned the win for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She allowed five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Ashlynn Mercer took the loss for Cowley Tigers. She lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and eight runs while striking out six.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tallied one home run on the day. Alexis Hoang went yard in the fifth inning.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity collected seven hits.  Picou and Snow all managed multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Snow and Picou each collected two hits to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Jaleigh Durst had the most chances in the field with seven.

 

Game 2: Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Claims Victory Over Cowley Tigers

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity beat Cowley Tigers 6-2 on Friday.

In the first inning, Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity got their offense started. Pal Egan drove in one when she doubled.

Kaila Eastburn led the Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity to victory on the rubber. She allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking one.

Brooke Mason took the loss for Cowley Tigers. She allowed 11 hits and six runs over six innings, striking out three.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity launched two home runs on the day. Eastburn had a homer in the second inning. Egan had a long ball in the fifth inning.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tallied 11 hits.  Eastburn, Jaleigh Durst, and Egan all collected multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. Eastburn went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsityin hits.

Skylar Darnell led Cowley Tigers with two hits in three at bats. Cowley Tigers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kalyn Stigal had the most chances in the field with five.
