Game 1: With Laynie On The Mound, Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Shuts Out Northwest Technical Institute 

Laynie Bastow threw a gem on Wednesday for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Northwest Technical Institute by a score of 15-0

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the second inning.  Bri HernandezStonie CarrilloAdrianna Cooney, Pal Egan, Kyla Snow, and  Hernandez powered the big inning with RBIs.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Snow singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity notched 11 runs in the second inning. Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity put the pressure on, lead by singles by Hernandez, Carrillo, Egan, Hernandez, and Carrillo, a home run by Snow, and a double by Cooney.

A single by Hilton in the second inning was a positive for Northwest Technical Institute .

Bastow earned the win for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out 11 and walking one.

Goodard took the loss for Northwest Technical Institute . She went two and a third innings, allowing four runs on six hits.

Williams started the game for Northwest Technical Institute . She allowed 11 hits and 11 runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tallied one home run on the day. Snowhad a four bagger in the second inning.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tallied 17 hits.  Carrillo, Snow, Courtney Vidrine, Hernandez, and Egan all had multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Vidrine, Snow, and Carrillo each managed three hits to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Hernandez had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Hilton went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Northwest Technical Institute in hits

Jordan Garvin had all the right stuff on Wednesday for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Northwest Technical Institute by a score of 17-0

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the first inning.  Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity's big bats in the inning were led by singles by Adrianna CooneyAshley SimmonsTaylor Poage, and Cooney, a triple by Kyla Snow, by Tatum Trester, a fielder's choice by Haley Butler, and a double by Chloe Bryant.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Cooney singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Northwest Technical Institute was a double by Williams in the second inning.

Garvin was the winning pitcher for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Benitez took the loss for Northwest Technical Institute . She lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing eight hits and 11 runs while walking zero.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity hit one home run on the day. Kaila Eastburn put one out in the fourth inning.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tallied 15 hits.  Bryant, Cooney, Snow, and Simmons all collected multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. Simmons, Snow, Cooney, and Bryant each collected two hits to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.
