Game 1: Pitching By Jade Shuts Out North Platte CC, Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Takes The Win

Jade Guzman shut down North Platte CC, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity to a 8-0 victory on Friday

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity secured the victory thanks to five runs in the second inning.  Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity put the pressure on, lead by singles by Haley ButlerAdrianna Cooney, Pal Egan, and Kyla Snow and an error on a ball put in play by Stonie Carrillo.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning.  Eganhit a line drive that was caught, scoring one run.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity scored five runs in the second inning. Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Butler, Carrillo, Cooney, Egan, and Snow, all driving in runs in the frame.

One bright spot for North Platte CC was a single by Belew in the fifth inning.

Guzman got the win for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Coleman took the loss for North Platte CC. She went four innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits and striking out four.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game.  Snow and Egan each managed multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Egan and Snow each collected two hits to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.

Belew led North Platte CC with one hit in two at bats.

Game 2: With Kaila On The Circle, Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Shuts Out Garden City 

Kaila Eastburn didn't allow a single run as Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsitydefeated Garden City Community College Broncbusters Varsity 10-0 on Saturday. Eastburn allowed just one hit.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity secured the victory thanks to six runs in the third inning. The rally was led by singles by Courtney Vidrine and Kaylyn Aguirre and a double by Pal Egan.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity got on the board in the first inning.  Egansingled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tallied six runs in the third inning.  Vidrine, Aguirre, and Egan each had RBIs in the big inning.

A double by Audrey Graf in the fourth inning was a positive for Garden City Community College Broncbusters Varsity.

Eastburn was the winning pitcher for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out 11 and walking one.

Madison Biller took the loss for Garden City Community College Broncbusters Varsity. She lasted four innings, allowing 12 hits and ten runs while striking out two.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity racked up 12 hits.  Aguirre, Stonie Carrillo, Egan, and Eastburn all collected multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Aguirre went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity in hits.  Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Bri Hernandez had the most chances in the field with 11.

Graf led Garden City Community College Broncbusters Varsity with one hit in two at bats.
