A ROAD SWEEP OPENS UP CONFERENCE PLAY FOR SOFTBALL AT GRAYSON

Game 1: Runs Keep Coming As Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Defeats Grayson CC

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity defeated Grayson CC 8-2 by consistently putting runs on the scoreboard on Friday.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity got things started in the first inning when Kyla Snow homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the second inning, Grayson CC tied things up at two when Sanders homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Alexis Hoang doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Jade Guzman was the winning pitcher for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out two.

Kaderka took the loss for Grayson CC. She surrendered seven runs on nine hits over five innings, striking out four.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity smacked four home runs on the day. Jaleigh Durst put one out in the fourth inning. Pal Egan went for the long ball in the sixth inning. Snow went yard in the first and fifth innings.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tallied 11 hits in the game.  Hoang, Egan, and Snow each had multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Eganand Hoang each collected three hits to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.

 

Game 2: Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Defeats Grayson CC In Blow Out Victory Thanks To Second Inning Boost

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity defeated Grayson CC 11-2 on Friday thanks to a timely six runs in a big second inning.  Stonie CarrilloKyla SnowAlexis Hoang, and Kaila Eastburn all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning. Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity scored two runs when Adrianna Cooneyhomered.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity scored six runs in the second inning. Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity's big inning was driven by doubles by Snow and Hoang, a single by Eastburn, and a groundout by Carrillo.

Eastburn took the win for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She lasted five innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out five and walking one.

Lucrecio took the loss for Grayson CC. She surrendered four runs on four hits over one inning.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity launched two home runs on the day. Cooney put one out in the first inning. Pal Egan had a homer in the third inning.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity collected 12 hits on the day.  Peyton PicouCallie Yellin, and Egan each had multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Egan, Yellin, and Picou each managed two hits to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.

Grayson CC didn't commit a single error in the field. Thomas had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
