STREAK EXTENDS TO 15 AS CHAPS SWEEP #15 MCC AT HOME

Game 1: Picou's Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Victory Over McLennan CC

It came down to the wire on Saturday, with Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over McLennan CC. The game was tied at six with Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity batting in the bottom of the seventh when Peyton Picou singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

McLennan CC scored four runs in the fifth inning, but Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for McLennan CC came thanks to a single by Perales and a home run by Parks.

McLennan CC got things moving in the second inning.  Lopez hit a solo homer.

Jade Guzman was the winning pitcher for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity. She allowed ten hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out six.

Reese Taylor took the loss for McLennan CC. She went six innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits, striking out six and walking one.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity tallied one home run on the day. Alexis Hoang went for the long ball in the sixth inning.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity racked up 12 hits on the day.  Stonie CarrilloAdrianna Cooney, Picou, and Pal Egan all had multiple hits for Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.  Egan, Picou, Cooney, and Carrillo each collected two hits to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.

McLennan CC racked up ten hits.  DeLeon, Lopez, and Truax all managed multiple hits for McLennan CC.

Game 2: Kaila Throws Shutout As Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity Defeats McLennan CC

Kaila Eastburn shut down McLennan CC, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity to a 2-0 victory on Saturday

The pitching was strong on both sides. Eastburn struck out nine, while G Crafts sat down six.

A single by Wideman in the first inning was a positive for McLennan CC.

Eastburn pitched Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity to victory. She lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out nine.

Crafts took the loss for McLennan CC. She allowed five hits and two runs over six and a third innings, striking out six and walking one.

Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity socked one home run on the day. Eastburn went yard in the seventh inning.

Eastburn, Alexis HoangPeyton PicouAdrianna Cooney, and Trinity Castillo each collected one hit to lead Vernon College Softball Chaparral Softball Varsity.

McLennan CC didn't commit a single error in the field. M Stephens had the most chances in the field with six.
