Season outlook: The Chaps softball team is set to kick off the 2021 season on Jan. 29th at the College of Southern Nevada Tournament in Henderson, NV. The weekend includes games against College of Southern Nevada, Utah State Eastern, Southern Idaho, Salt Lake Comm., and Colorado Northwestern.

The Chaps feature 9 returners from last year's squad including 2 Covid 3rd year sophomores (Adrianna Cooney and Stonie Carrillo) and 17 new players, six of which are transfers. Coach Talley adds some players to the core of a team that's coming off a historical season last season. Coach T thinks those additions will be crucial to the team's success as it looks to build on season where the Chaps finish nationally ranked #17 in the country.

"There is a lot of outside anticipation and expectations from our 2020 season, and the incoming freshmen have a lot to live up to to continue our new traditions.  I think they will rise to the challenge under the tutelage of our returning athletes and impact transfers."   -  Head Coach Brittanie Talley
