GM1: With Laynie On The Mound, Vernon College Chaparral Varsity Shuts Out Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen

Laynie Brown threw a shutout to lead Vernon College Chaparral Varsity past Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen 17-0 on Friday.

Kaila Eastburn led Vernon College Chaparral Varsity to victory by driving in four runs. Eastburn went 2-for-2 at the plate.  Eastburn drove in runs on a home run in the first and a triple in the first.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity got things moving in the first inning.  Vernon College Chaparral Varsity scored one run when Adrianna Cooney doubled.

A single by Raquelle Bernal in the third inning was a positive for Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen.

Brown took the win for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity. The righty allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one.

Hannah Davenport toed the rubber for Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen. The pitcher lasted one and one-third innings, allowing 15 hits and 14 runs while striking out one and walking one.  Victoria Terrazas threw two and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity socked one home run on the day. Eastburn went for the long ball in the first inning.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity tallied 16 hits.  Eastburn, Kiana GibsonKaylyn Aguirre, and Cooney each collected multiple hits for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity.  Cooney, Aguirre, Gibson, and Eastburn each collected two hits to lead Vernon College Chaparral Varsity. Vernon College Chaparral Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Marianna Rodriguez had the most chances in the field with three.

GM2: Cooney's Walk-Off Gives Vernon College Chaparral Varsity Victory Over Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off sacrifice fly at the end of the game to topple Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity. The game was tied at five with Vernon College Chaparral Varsitybatting in the bottom of the seventh when Adrianna Cooney's sac fly scored one run for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity.

Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity scored three runs in the seventh inning, but Vernon College Chaparral Varsity still managed to pull out the victory.  Samantha Eckert and Uchenna Jong Loy each drove in runs during the inning.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity opened up scoring in the second inning.  Adie Brake hit a solo homer.

Kaila Eastburn earned the victory on the rubber for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity. The righthander lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out ten.

Primrose Aholelei took the loss for Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity. The pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on two hits, striking out one and walking zero.

Kiana Pogroszewski started the game for Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity. The hurler surrendered three runs on five hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity tallied three home runs on the day. Brake had a homer in the second inning. Eastburn went deep in the sixth inning. Camile Nunez had a four bagger in the third inning.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity racked up seven hits on the day.  Brake and Kaylyn Aguirreeach had multiple hits for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity.  Aguirre and Brake each collected two hits to lead Vernon College Chaparral Varsity.

Eckert went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity in hits.
