GM1: Longo's Walk-Off Picture Perfect Ending In Vernon College Chaparral Varsity's Victory Over Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity defeated Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity 10-7 on Saturday thanks to a walk-off home run. The game was tied at seven with Vernon College Chaparral Varsity batting in the bottom of the eighth when Damiana Longo homered on a 3-0 count, scoring three runs.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity to score five runs in the second inning. Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity's big inning was driven by a single by Precious Aholelei, a home run by Tuliliau Sosi, and a double by Nicollette Blenker.

Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity got on the board in the second inning.  Aholelei drove in one when Aholelei singled.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity evened things up at seven in the bottom of the sixth inning.  Vernon College Chaparral Varsity scored one run when Kaila Eastburn doubled.

After Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity scored one run in the top of the third, Vernon College Chaparral Varsity answered with one of their own. Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity scored when Aholelei's sac fly scored one run for Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity.  Vernon College Chaparral Varsitythen answered when Adie Brake doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Eastburn earned the win for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity. Eastburn surrendered two runs on three hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Primrose Aholelei took the loss for Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavaliers Varsity. Aholelei lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing ten hits and seven runs while striking out nine and walking one.

Laynie Bastow started the game for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity. The pitcher lasted one and one-third innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out one and walking zero

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity launched four home runs on the day. Longo had a homer in the eighth inning. Chloe Bryant went for the long ball in the second and sixth innings. Kiana Gibson put one out in the fifth inning.

GM2: Vernon College Chaparral Varsity Clings To Victory As Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen Nearly Erases 5-Run Deficit

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity built a five-run lead in the second inning and then held off Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen's charge for an 8-6 victory on Saturday. Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen tallied three runs in the failed comeback. Mica Contreras, Raquelle Bernal, and  Karla Banegas picked up RBIs to lead the rally.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity grabbed an early lead.  Vernon College Chaparral Varsityscored on a home run by Damiana Longo, a double by Lexi Mills, and a sacrifice fly by Jenna Sepeda in the first inning.

Laynie Bastow led the Vernon College Chaparral Varsity to victory in the circle. The righty lasted three innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out two and walking one.

Banegas took the loss for Frank Phillips College Lady Plainsmen. The pitcher allowed eight hits and eight runs over five innings, striking out two.
