GM1: Vernon College Chaparral Varsity Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers Varsity

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity snatched the lead late in the game in a 12-5 victory over Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers Varsity on Wednesday. The game was tied at five with Vernon College Chaparral Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when Callie Yellinhomered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Yellin led Vernon College Chaparral Varsity to victory by driving in four runs.  Yellin went 3-for-4 at the plate.  Yellin drove in runs on a single in the second, a home run in the sixth, and a home run in the seventh.

Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers Varsity got things started in the first inning.  Kelsie Whalen drove in one when Whalen singled.

Kaila Eastburn got the win for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity. Eastburn surrendered five runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out eight.

Toni Shawnee took the loss for Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers Varsity. The righthander allowed 15 hits and 12 runs over seven innings, striking out two.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity smacked seven home runs on the day. America Rubiowent deep in the fifth inning. Tatum Trester had a dinger in the sixth inning. Yellin went for the long ball in the sixth and seventh innings. Adrianna Cooney had a long ball in the seventh inning. Camile Nunez had a dinger in the sixth and seventh innings.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity racked up 15 hits in the game.  Rubio, Trester, Yellin, Kiana Gibson, and Nunez each collected multiple hits for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity.  Yellin, Trester, and Rubio each collected three hits to lead Vernon College Chaparral Varsity.

Whalen led Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers Varsity with two hits in three at bats.

 

GM2: Vernon College Chaparral Varsity Slides Into A Blow-Out Win Over Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers Varsity

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity cruised to an easy victory over Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers Varsity 13-2 on Wednesday

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity scored six runs in the fourth inning.  Vernon College Chaparral Varsity batters contributing to the big inning included Camile NunezAdie BrakeLexi MillsAdrianna Cooney, and Nunez, all driving in runs in the inning.

Laynie Bastow led the Vernon College Chaparral Varsity to victory in the circle. The pitcher surrendered two runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out two and walking one.

Sarah Spriggs started the game for Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers Varsity. The righthander lasted three and a third innings, allowing nine hits and nine runs.  Terra Funkthrew one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity smacked four home runs on the day. Brake went yard in the fourth and fifth innings. Kiana Gibson had a long ball in the third inning. Nunez put one out in the fourth inning.

Vernon College Chaparral Varsity racked up 14 hits on the day.  Brake, Gibson, Nunez, Logan Menzies, and Cooney all had multiple hits for Vernon College Chaparral Varsity.  Brake went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Vernon College Chaparral Varsity in hits.  Vernon College Chaparral Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Chloe Bryant had the most chances in the field with seven.

Maddy Munn led Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers Varsity with two hits in three at bats.
