Softball

 Vernon College head coach Lyndsey Lipscomb is entering her third year at the helm of the program. Originally from Garland, TX, Lipscomb graduated from Garland High School where she was on the 2006 5A State Championship team. 

Lipscomb began her collegiate softball career as a catcher at Vernon College in 2006 until 2008. After Vernon College, she went on to Texas Woman’s University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Education. She later went on to receive her master's from TWU in Sport Management in 2014. 

Lyndsey began her coaching career at Vernon College where she was the assistant softball coach. In 2013, Lipscomb pursued a high school teaching and coaching job at Willis High School in Willis Texas. In her 8 years at Willis Lipscomb helped lead the program to numerous playoff appearances as well as they were the 5A State Runner Up in 2017. 

Coach Lipscomb is excited to be back where it all started for her and thankful for the opportunity that Vernon College has given her.
