GM1: Vernon College Chaps Varsity Can't Catch Up To Temple College

Vernon College Chaps Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-0 loss to Temple College on Wednesday. Temple College scored on a single by #8 and an error in the first inning.

The Vernon College Chaps Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Temple College, giving up six runs.

Temple College got on the board in the first inning.  #8 drove in one when #8 singled.

A single by Brendon Concannon in the first inning was a positive for Vernon College Chaps Varsity.

#3 was on the mound for Temple College. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out 13.

Clark Candiotti led things off on the hill for Vernon College Chaps Varsity. Candiotti lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and six runs while striking out six.

Jhonmy Martinez went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Vernon College Chaps Varsity in hits.

Temple College racked up eight hits in the game.  #8, #20, and #31 each managed multiple hits for Temple College.  #8 led Temple College with three hits in three at bats. Temple College didn't commit a single error in the field. #40 had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team.

GM2: Vernon College Chaps Varsity Drops Game To Temple College After Late Score

Wednesday's game against Temple College was a heartbreaker for Vernon College Chaps Varsity, as they lost the lead late in a 21-13 defeat. The game was tied at 12 with Temple College batting in the bottom of the sixth when #18 tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Marco Barrera drove in four runners in the loss.  Barrera drove in runs on a home run in the third and a home run in the fourth.

Temple College got on the board in the first inning when #20 grounded out, scoring one run.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity put up five runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Noah Anderson and Logan Williams and a home run by Barrera.

Temple College scored eight runs in the fourth inning. Temple College offense in the inning was led by #24, #9,  #31, #20, #11, and #18, all driving in runs in the frame.

#8 led things off on the mound for Temple College. The fireballer surrendered six runs on six hits over three and a third innings, striking out two and walking one.

Justin Karbowski led things off on the hill for Vernon College Chaps Varsity. Karbowskiallowed 12 hits and 12 runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity smacked two home run on the day. Barrera had a homer in the third and fourth innings.

Vernon College Chaps Varsity racked up 12 hits in the game.  Anderson, Jhonmy Martinez, Barrera, and Luke Piper all managed multiple hits for Vernon College Chaps Varsity.  Martinezand Anderson each collected three hits to lead Vernon College Chaps Varsity.

Temple College racked up 22 hits.  #18, #31, #20, #24, #9, #22, #16, #40, and #44 each collected multiple hits for Temple College.  #18 led Temple College with four hits in five at bats.
